Suspect sought after woman shot in northwest Denver

DENVER -- One woman was injured after being found shot outside a convenience store early Friday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

The woman was found outside a 7-Eleven store at West 44th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard suffering from a gunshot wound about 1 a.m.

The woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The extent of those injuries has not been released.

Police said the suspect is being sought and was possibly in a white, older model Chevrolet pickup truck. No license plate was available.

Police only said the suspect was wearing a black beanie type of hat. No other description of the suspect was released.

The name and age of the victim were not released.

Police have not said what led to the shooting.
