Halloween DUI enforcement begins

DENVER– “RIP to DUI.” It’s a catchy campaign name with a serious goal, to cut down on drunk driving injuries and deaths during the Halloween weekend.

Law enforcement agencies all Colorado are participating in the initiative.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, 269 DUI arrests were made during Halloween enforcement last year.

The “RIP to DUI” campaign starts Friday night and goes through Tuesday.
