DENVER -- Six people were taken to a hospital after a shooting and then a high-speed crash that resulted in a rollover early Friday morning, the Denver Police Department said Friday.

Police said at least one person was shot about 1 a.m. at 14th and Blake streets.

The victim and friends then got into a Chevrolet Tahoe to go to a hospital. They were traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver ran a red light at West 11th Avenue and Kalamath Street.

The Tahoe was T-boned by a smaller SUV that was traveling westbound on 11th Avenue, causing the Tahoe to roll over.

Five people in the Tahoe and one person in the smaller SUV were taken to a hospital, two with serious injuries. The nature of the injures has not been released by police.

Police are searching for suspects in the shooting and have not released a description. No motive for the shooting has been released.
