DENVER — It was not a happy return to Denver on Monday night for Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler.
Osweiler left the Broncos after last season as a free agent despite being in line to replace Peyton Manning for the Super Bowl champions.
He started five games last season but was benched in the second half of the regular-season finale, then didn’t play in three playoff games.
After the season, he jumped at a $72 million contract with the Texans but has had a disappointing season, including Monday, when he completed only 22 of 41 passes for 131 yards in a 27-9 loss to the Broncos.
He also had a fumble while attempting to throw the ball forward.
Fans on social media were all over Osweiler during his performance on “Monday Night Football.” It wasn’t pretty for him, but it definitely was hilarious for everyone else.
