LAS VEGAS — It was all Colorado State as the Rams took on the UNLV Rebels in Las Vegas on Saturday. The Rams came out on top, 42-23.

Colorado State got off to the early lead with quarterback Nick Stevens passing to tight end Danny Nwosu for a touchdown. CSU would extend its lead with an Izzy Matthews running touchdown to make it 14-0 at the end of the first.

The second quarter saw three additional touchdowns from the Rams, one from Matthews and two from  Marvin Kinsey Jr. to make it 35-0.

But UNLV refused to be shut out. The Rebels came out from halftime with a touchdown and a field goal as the Rams kept the lead 35-10 in the third quarter.

UNLV continued to try to come back in the fourth quarter with two additional touchdowns. A CSU touchdown from receiver Michael Gallup made it 42-23.

The UNLV comeback failed and the Rams held on to win.

CSU is now 4-4 overall and is 2-2 in the Mountain West Conference.
