DENVER — Denver police confirmed early Saturday morning that the barricade situation is over.

On Friday, a person barricaded himself inside a room at the Embassy Suites in the 7500 block of East Hampden Avenue.

Police said it started around 3:15 p.m. Friday and was declared a barricade by police around 7:30 p.m.

The man was alone in the room and police report he was taken into custody without injuries.

Police believe, though they have not yet confirmed, that he is associated with a stolen car that was outside the hotel.

He was wanted for a domestic assault.

A few rooms around the barricade unit were evacuated, but general hotel operations were normal, according to police.

The man has not been identified.
