Wisconsin police officer nearly hit by own car

HUDSON, Wis. -- A Wisconsin police officer was out on a call to help a driver with a flat tire when she was nearly hit by her own police car.

The crash happened over the weekend in Hudson, near the border of Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Dashcam video taken from the Hudson police officer’s cruiser shows officer Hilary Lundberg walking away while helping a stranded driver.

The squad car was in the left lane when it was hit by a truck driving more than 50 mph, KMSP-TV reports. The impact of the crash pushed the car toward the officer.

On the video, the officer see’s the speeding vehicle approaching and jumps out of the way before it can hit her.

Lundberg was not injured.
