Traps found set on mountain biking trail in Eagle County

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. — Traps were found on a popular mountain biking trail on Bureau of Land Management land, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

The traps were found on the Dirt Surfer trail outside of Eagle.

The sheriff’s office is working with other agencies to determines where the traps originated.

“We are taking seriously malicious intent to cause harm to others. It is wrong and unlawful to intend to bring harm to others or to retaliate,” officials wrote on Facebook.
