Police arrest gunman in Federal Heights shooting

FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. — Police have arrested 19-year-old Julian Jose Richards, a suspect in a shooting Thursday morning in Federal Heights.

Police made the arrest about 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Countryside Village Mobile Home Park (9850 N. Federal Blvd.).

The shooting happened a little after 11 a.m. and the gunman ran off after the shooting, the Federal Heights Police Department said.

The victim was shot in the hand and the leg after getting into an argument with Richards, police said.

Richards was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Adams County Detention Facility.
