ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Broncos offensive lineman Russell Okung and receiver Cody Latimer are in concussion protocol, one day after a 21-13 loss to the San Diego Chargers, interim coach Joe DeCamillis said Friday.

Okung was taken by cart from the Qualcomm Stadium locker room, placed in the back of an ambulance and taken to a San Diego-area hospital after the game.

He was quickly released and cleared to fly back to Denver, though he was not with the team on its charter flight.

On Sunday, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak was taken to a Denver-area hospital after falling ill after a 23-16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He was later diagnosed with a complex migraine and sat out this week. He’s expected back Monday.

Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders suffered a hip injury, but it “looks like he’s going to be OK,” DeCamillis said.

The Broncos are off until Oct. 24 when they host former quarterback Brock Osweiler and the Houston Texans on “Monday Night Football.”
