AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — The Air Force football team improved to 4-0 after beating Navy, 28-14, at Falcon Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It was an important win as the Falcons pursue the Commander in Chief’s Trophy. If they beat Army later this season, they will get the trophy back.

The Falcons were led by tailback Tim McVey, who scored two touchdowns, and safety Weston Steelhammer, who had two interceptions.

The defense also sacked Navy’s quarterback six times and forced one fumble.

Air Force is 4-0 for the first time since 2003. It plays at Wyoming on Oct. 8.
