Woman found dead near Timnath had been reported missing from Northglenn

TIMNATH, Colo. — The woman who was found dead in a vehicle on Friday had been reported missing days earlier, the Northglenn Police Department said.

The woman has yet to be identified, but police said she was reported missing Sept. 18.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and Timnath Police Department said they were investigating the death as a homicide.

The car was parked in a farmer’s field near East Prospect Road and County Road 5. Timnath is southeast of Fort Collins just east of Interstate 25.

Northglenn police have taken the lead in the investigation with assistance from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
