Farm survives hailstorm; corn maze celebrates Broncos

LA SALLE, Colo. — The Fritzler corn maze opens for business on weekends beginning Saturday. It’s located just off of U.S. Highway 85 about seven miles south of Greeley.

The huge corn maze celebrates the Broncos’ victory in Super Bowl 50.

Glen Fritzler said his farm has bounced back in an incredible way after what he called a disastrous hailstorm on Aug. 2. He called it the worst hailstorm he has seen in 17 years.

The corn maze is in great shape, and there are several fun activities that will take place through Halloween.

The picture below shows what the pumpkin field looked like immediately after the hail pounded all of the plants.

But the pumpkins have managed a comeback. They’re ready for a fun fall at the Fritzler Family Farm.
