ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- A jury found a former Adams County sheriff's deputy not guilty of assaulting a man during an arrest that was recorded on video.
Jeffrey Stovall was on trial this week, accused of misdemeanor assault.
A grand jury indicted Stovall after seeing surveillance video showed him kicking a man outside a bar in May 2015.
His attorney argued during trial that it was an allowed use of force. Jurors took less than two hours Friday to find him not guilty.
Stovall said he's glad he finally got to tell his side of the story.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office fired Stovall earlier this summer.
