DENVER — Rookie fullback Andy Janovich helped the Broncos start the second quarter with a bang Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers in the NFL opener at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
Janovich scored a 28-yard touchdown that helped the Broncos tie the game after the Panthers scored a touchdown in the first quarter.
The play was Janovich’s first NFL carry, and the Panthers defense wasn’t expecting it.
Janovich was the 176th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft by the Broncos.
Janovich, a Nebraska native, played college football at the University of Nebraska, where he spent time on special teams and alternating at fullback.
