New ‘Super Bowl Champions’ signs going up at Sports Authority Field at Mile High

DENVER -- In the final few days before the NFL season kickoff, some finishing touches are being put on Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

New "Super Bowl Champions" signs were being installed Tuesday.

Waiting to be lifted into place by a crane, signs were seen showing the years of the Broncos' Super Bowl wins: 1997, 1998 and 2015.

The signs are going up on the south side of the stadium, alongside the sign that reads "Sports Authority Field at Mile High."

Sports Authority went bankrupt earlier this year and the Broncos assumed the contract for stadium naming rights. But the name has not officially changed.

The Broncos kick off the regular season with a Super Bowl 50 rematch against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.
