DENVER — A Taste of Colorado returns to Denver this weekend and it comes with a side order of road closures around Civic Center Park.
About 500,000 people are expected at Denver’s largest food festival. Downtown Denver Partnership is urging people to find alternate transportation to the event or avoid the area if you normally drive by it.
“We just encourage people who are coming to the festival to consider taking light rail into downtown and hopping on the mall ride shuttle,” said Brea Olson with Downtown Denver Partnership.
The Labor Day tradition will begin Friday morning and will include 75 bands on five stages.
Gates open at 11:30 a.m. and the event goes through 8 p.m. Monday. Roads around the park are expected to reopen by Tuesday morning.
