ARVADA, Colo. — Eleven golden retrievers that were rescued from a farm in Kansas where they dealt with harsh conditions are looking for new forever homes.

The dogs are being cared for by The Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies in Arvada.

“We were more than thrilled to jump in and help,” said Kevin Shipley with GRRR.

Shipley said the 11 dogs had been void of contact with people, so it has taken a little while for them to get comfortable.

Three of the 11 dogs have found new homes, but eight still need to be adopted.

To adopt one, apply on GRRR’s website.
