DENVER -- A family of four, including two children, escaped after a car fire spread to their home early Tuesday morning.

A man in the home in the 5000 block of Ceylon Street in Green Valley Ranch said smoke detectors went off in the home about 3 a.m.

He said he was able to escape along with his wife and two children to the backyard of the home. There were no injures reported. The family's pets were also able to get out safely.

A blue vehicle in the driveway of the home somehow caught fire, and the flames spread to the home.

Fire crews were able to get the fire knocked down. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
