DENVER -- One person was seriously injured after a rollover accident closed eastbound Interstate 70 for about two hours early Wednesday morning, the Denver Police Department said.
The accident happened about 4:30 a.m. just past Havana Street, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.
The interstate was closed at Havana and traffic was detoured as the crash was investigated. Traffic quickly backed up in the area, causing long delays for drivers trying to get to Denver International Airport. The interstate reopened at 6:45 a.m.
One person was in the vehicle and was taken to Denver Health Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
