WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — A mudslide crashed into a family’s home on Saturday morning, the Wheat Ridge Police Department said.

An area about 40 feet by 60 feet slid down a hill from the backyard of a home in the 6900 block of West 48th Avenue.

Police said there were no injuries and no gas leaks at the home, but water is shut off to the house.

The family living at the home had inspectors look at the house and were told they could stay over the weekend, police said. The American Red Cross had initially responded to help the family.

No other areas of the neighborhood were effected.
