Charlotte Movizzo and Curtis Salinger, the 2016 Bobby G Award recipients of the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, progress to represent Colorado at The National High School Musical Theatre Awards. Charlotte Movizzo played Charity Hope Valentine in Ponderosa High School’s production of Sweet Charity. Curtis Salinger played Emmett Forrest in Durango High School’s production of Legally Blonde.


Presented by The Broadway League Foundation, the eight annual National High School Musical Theatre Awards (Jimmy Awards) take place on Monday, June 27 at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway making this Charlotte and Curtis’ Broadway debut. Coaching and rehearsal for this one-of-a-kind event are held Sunday, June 19 through Monday, June 27 in New York City.
