DENVER -- A small grass fire was reported at Denver International Airport late Friday morning along runway 7/25.

The fire was quickly contained.

DIA spokesman Heath Montgomery said officials believe the fire was caused by an aircraft on takeoff.

United Airlines flight 328 was bound for Hawaii, but that plan changed. The route on FlightAware.com shows the aircraft burning fuel over northern Colorado before returning to the airport.
