Police investigate shooting at 1575 Galena St. in Aurora, Colo.

AURORA, Colo. — The brother of a 10-year-old boy who accidentally shot himself has been arrested in connection with the boy’s death. The shooting happened Friday night at 1575 Galena St.

The 17-year-old was arrested for negligent child abuse resulting in death. He was in custody Tuesday night at the LINK Juvenile Assessment Center in Adams County.

The Aurora Police Department said the case is still under investigation and did not release any additional information.

Once it is complete, it will be presented to the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
