DENVER -- A shooting that killed three and seriously injured one on the 3200 block of Hudson Street on Friday night was the result of a drug deal gone horribly wrong, Denver Police said Saturday.

When police arrived on scene just after 8 p.m. Friday they found one man shot in the arm, he remains in the hospital in serious condition, and two men dead inside a home at 3622 Hudson Street.

A third male victim was dropped off at a hospital a short time later and he also died. Police are not releasing the names of the victims.

“It’s our basic understanding that this event is a drug deal that has gone extremely bad,” Denver Police spokesman Tyrone Campbell said.

Denver Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that may have been involved in the shooting. It is described as a maroon 2015 Chevy Tahoe or similar GMC model.

“This appears to be an arranged encounter in regards to a drug deal so it doesn’t sound like there is a larger threat to the community at present,” Campbell said.

If you have any information related to the vehicle or any witness information you’re asked to call Denver Police.
