Denver facing lifeguard shortage as summer nears, holding ‘boot camp’

DENVER — Denver Parks and Recreation says it’s facing a shortage of lifeguards.

A pool spokesperson says a better economy is one of the reasons fewer teens are applying.

Saturday, the city will be holding a “lifeguard boot camp” at Congress Park.
