CONCORD, N.C. -- Martin Truex Jr. of Denver-based Furniture Row Racing dominated the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway for his first win of the season.
Truex, who entered the race ranked fourth in laps led but had only one top-five finish, led a whopping 392 of the 400 laps in NASCAR's longest race of the season.
It was the first win for Truex since winning at Pocono in June.
"It's insane to think about that," Truex said after his fourth career win. "Nobody else has ever done that. So many greats in this sport, so many huge accomplishments."
The win gives Truex a spot in the season-ending Chase. He finished fourth last year.
