DENVER — The U.S. Postal Service’s annual “Letter Carrier Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive” happens Saturday.

You can donate by not going any farther than your mailbox. Just fill it up with nonperishable foods and a letter carrier will pick it up.

The USPS is looking for things like canned foods or boxes of macaroni and cheese.

This is the nation’s largest food drive.

Last year, Colorado postal service workers collected more than 300,000 pounds of food.
