Loveland police investigate possible murder-suicide

LOVELAND, Colo. -- Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide inside a home where children were present Saturday morning.

The Loveland Police Department said it received a 911 call at 10:54 a.m. from an adult who said there was a disturbance inside a home in the 1300 block of Sixth Street SE where two people had been arguing in the home.

The caller, who was downstairs, then heard gunshots.

Two children and the caller got out safely, but police found a man and women dead in a room upstairs from apparent gunshot wounds. A weapon was also located in the room.

Police said there is no threat to the public and no one has been taken into custody.

The victims were identified by the Larimer County Coroner's Office as Jessi M. Haley, who died in a homicide from a gunshot wound to the chest, and Jared B. Haley, 38, who died from suicide from a gunshot wound to the head.
