DENVER — The heavy snow was too much for a tree branch that snapped, crashing through the roof of a house near Regis University on Wednesday morning.
“We heard a loud crash,” Stacy Clayback said in an email. “I ran out to the living room where I saw (the tree branch) sticking out of the roof into the kitchen.”
No one was in the kitchen at the time.
The family called their insurance company but was told no one was willing to come inspect the damage during the blizzard. They are also having a hard time getting contractor companies to answer calls.
“Luckily, it didn’t hit any electrical lines and the hole is only as big as the branch so there isn’t a lot of snow coming in,” Clayback wrote.
