Man injured in northwest Denver shooting

DENVER — A man was shot early Saturday morning in northwest Denver, police said.

The shooting happened near West 46th Avenue and Alcott Street.

One male victim was shot in the midsection of his body, said the Denver Police Department, which responded after a neighbor called in the shooting.

The victim was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

A red or maroon vehicle was seen leaving the area, police said. It was not clarified if it is a suspect vehicle.
