6,000 oil industry jobs disappear in Colorado as prices keep dropping

DENVER -- Low gasoline prices are hurting jobs in Colorado's oil industry.

The price of oil has dropped below $30 a barrel. And now more than 6,000 jobs in Colorado have disappeared. Hundreds of people have left the state in search of jobs elsewhere.

Industry analysts say it could be years before oil jobs return to the state.
