Man, woman killed in murder-suicide shooting in Littleton

Two people died of gunshot wounds in a Littleton apartment complex on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016.

LITTLETON, Colo. — Police responded to a double shooting at an apartment complex in Littleton on Wednesday afternoon.

When first responders arrived in the 5500 block of South Grant Street, they found a man dead of a gunshot would and a woman who had also been shot. She died at the hospital.

According to the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office, the two were identified as Christa Sue Benton, 37, and David Michael Fallon, 45.

Benton’s cause of death was defined as a homicidal gunshot wound to the head and Fallon’s cause of death was a suicidal gunshot wound to the head, according to the Coroner’s Office.
