AURORA, Colo. — Authorities confirmed the victim has died after being shot in the head Tuesday morning in Aurora.

Around 10:42 a.m., Aurora Police responded to a two-car accident in the intersection of East Iliff Avenue and South Troy Street.

Officers found that the driver of one of the vehicles was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

That victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries on Tuesday and was pronounced dead Wednesday morning.

Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy and identified the victim as 23-year-old, Jevon Antwaine Bailey.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the collision, Aurora Police said.

Authorities classified Bailey’s manner of death as a homicide.

Aurora Police said they were seeking a white four-door sedan driven by a black male in connection with the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact Aurora Police or Crime Stoppers, with a reward possible.
