You’ve heard of, and may even have participated in, some adventure races. Races such as the Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash or the Spartan Race. They’re all the rage now among fitness enthusiasts. These grueling races put participants through outrageous obstacle courses that test the body and the mind. But how do you go about training for these races? One local gym offers a regularly scheduled class for just that kind of training. It’s called Mud Camp. It’s an hour class offered at Titanium Fitness Center in Edgewater. The class is designed to mimic the intensity of the adventure races and give people a small taste of what to expect if they want to do well at an adventure race.
