Man who stole political signs from yards, cited for trespass and theft

LOVELAND, Colo. — A man who stole political signs from yards in the Loveland neighborhood was reportedly cited for trespass and theft.

On Oct. 15 a witness reported a man taking political signs from the corner of South Taft Avenue and 14th Street SW to the Loveland Police Department around 9:30 a.m.

The man’s license plate number was reported to police and he was identified as Jeff Goody, age 51, according to Loveland authorities.

Goody was issued a summons for the theft of two signs in violation of a Loveland Municipal Ordinance. These violations were recently amended to include two counts of Trespass in violation of a Loveland Municipal Code.

The Loveland Police Department plans to continue to investigate the theft political signs. Multiple incidences have occurred around the city and officials appreciate the help provided by the public.
