BRIGHTON, Colo. — Law enforcement officers were keeping an eye out for an attempted murder suspect who cut off his ankle monitor.

Miguel Dejesus Mendoza, 28, was out of jail on bond while awaiting trial on charges related to attempted homicide. He also faces charges for assault and domestic violence.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said Friday afternoon Mendoza removed the ankle monitoring bracelet he was wearing. That’s a violation of his bond and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Mendoza’s description:

  • 5’6″
  • 175 lbs
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes

There was a second man who was also wanted after investigators said he cut off his ankle monitor.
