Motorcyclist killed in collision with vehicle on Sixth Avenue

DENVER — A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a vehicle on Monday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

The accident happened on East Sixth Avenue at Elizabeth Street. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said it was not a hit-and-run accident and the driver stayed on the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

It was the second fatal motorcycle accident in Denver on Monday morning. A man was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on South Sheridan Boulevard near West Kentucky Avenue.
