Dad gets sweet ‘implant’ tattoo to match his daughter

TAUPO, New Zealand — Alistair Campbell’s 6-year-old daughter, Charlotte, has cochlear implants to help her hear.

Charlotte got her first implant when she was 4 years old and when she had to get her second implant, Campbell decided to get his own “implant,” according to BuzzFeed News.

An implant that was tattooed on the left side of his head,

Campbell told the New Zealand Herald he got the tattoo so his daughter wouldn’t feel strange.

He shaved his head to get the tattoo but said he plans to grow his hair back and shave it for special occasions.

When Charlotte saw the tattoo, she told her father it was “cool.”

“The reactions have been overwhelming, mostly positive.,” Campbell told BuzzFeed News. “Some negative comments have surfaced. They don’t bother me. We’re doing what is best for our daughter and our family.”
