Missing 59-year-old man with dementia found

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported that they had found an endangered person who went missing on Sunday.

Police said 59-year-old Christopher Dasbach has dementia and walked away from his home in Highland Ranch on Sunday morning.

Family members searched the area and were unable to locate Dasbach. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Dasbach may have attempted to use his ATM card at the Safeway at Broadway and Highlands Ranch Parkway, and was last seen walking toward McDonald’s.

Police searched the areas in attempt to find him without success.

According to family members, Dasbach is mostly nonverbal, but will communicate when spoken to. He was last seen wearing a gray button-up short sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a Broncos baseball cap.

Police said Dasbach had been located as of 9 p.m. They had no updates on his condition or how they found him.
