DENVER -- Lightning hit a transformer and sparked a small fire at West 5th Avenue and Cherokee Street in Denver. It caused quite a scene for nearby residents who shot video and waited for crews to take care of the problem.

A power line was loose in the street and power had to be shut off to the neighborhood.

Mark Meredith shows us what it looked like in his video report.

Then we move so southeast metro Denver where Ashley Michels shows us the flooding there, and a very wet night at a carnival in Parker for one family.
