LITTLETON, Colo. -- A high-speed chase involving a stolen car driven by a juvenile ended with a crash in a Littleton neighborhood late Wednesday night.

The chase ended about 9:30 p.m. at West Prentice Avenue and South Hickory Street, but not before the suspect rolled the stolen vehicle he was driving and tried to get away on a bicycle.

Witnesses said the chase involved police from several agencies, including Littleton, Centennial, Sheridan and Englewood as well as the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect headed west on West Belleview Avenue at a high rate of speed. He turned into the neighborhood and slammed into at least one parked vehicle that caused the stolen Jeep to roll, ending on its side.

Witnesses said the suspect tried to escape on a bicycle before he was apprehended by sheriff’s deputies.

“Evidently, the suspect kicked out the back window of his car, had a bike right there and tried to take off on a bicycle,” witness Zach Harder said.

There were no injuries reported in the incident. The name and age of the suspect have not been released.
