Police want public’s help finding driver who hit pedestrian and fled scene

DENVER — A crime alert was issued Tuesday for the public’s help in locating a driver who ran over a pedestrian in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Street Saturday.

A silver mid-sized sedan hit the pedestrian at about 12:30 p.m. in front of the apartments at 1441 Pennsylvania.

There is not much of a description: Police said the suspect is a stocky black man in his mid 40s who got into a verbal argument with the pedestrian before leaving the scene.

The victim’s ankle was broken in the incident.

The suspect was last seen going southbound on Pennsylvania.
