Both directions of I-70 reopen in Aurora after accident

AURORA, Colo. — Both directions of Interstate 70 were closed in both directions on Thursday morning because of an accident.

The Aurora Police Department said the eastbound lanes were closed at Tower Road and the westbound lanes were closed at East Colfax Avenue.

The closure happened about 7:45 a.m. It reopened about 8:20 a.m.

Police also did not release details of the accident, which happened in the construction zone of the interstate.
