Man shot in chest while sitting in vehicle in Aurora, then drives to emergency room

AURORA, Colo. — A man was shot in the chest while sitting in a vehicle on Sunday night, the Aurora Police Department said.

The victim was parked at East 13th Avenue and North Moline Street when he was approached by a male stranger who produced a gun and shot him, police say.

The victim then drove to University Hospital and walked into the emergency room about 5:50 p.m. where he received treatment. His condition is unknown.

According to police, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 5-foot-10 with a medium build and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt.
