Woman taken to hospital after early-morning house fire

DENVER -- A woman was taken to a hospital early Tuesday morning after a fire broke out in a house.

The Denver Fire Department said the woman is in her 70s and was able to get out of the house at 2063 S. Fox St. before crews arrived.

The unidentified woman was transported to Denver Health with smoke inhalation. The fire broke out about 3:15 a.m. and was out by about 4 a.m.

The cause is under investigation.
