DENVER -- Light snow is falling across the Denver metro area Wednesday morning as a storm works its way out of the area.

The snow should taper off by midmroning from north to south. Two inches fell in downtown Denver and at Denver International Airport, and the roads are icy and slick, making for a slow morning commute.

Sunshine will return during the afternoon, but temperatures will struggle in the cold teens. Then we enter a quiet, sunny and milder stretch of weather that will take us into early next week.
