DENVER — Denver’s independent monitor confirming to FOX31 Denver that a complaint has been filed by a member of law enforcement against Police Chief Robert White.

Sources tell FOX31 Denver that the complaint is in reference to the recent vandalism at the fallen officers memorial.

It is unclear if DPD internal affairs will investigate or if it will be an outside investigator. Sources tell us that decision will be made by Manager of Public Safety Stephanie O’Malley.

Many officers were frustrated that they were ordered not to engage with protestors at the time.

We’ll continue to follow this story and bring you any new details on the complaint as we get them.
