Police: $22,000 worth of trees chopped down in Parker’s Cottonwood Park

PARKER, Colo. — The Parker Police Department is asking for the public’s help after $22,000 worth of trees were cut down and left near the Cherry Creek Bike Trail in Cottonwood Park last week.

Police say 22 trees, valued at $1,000 apiece, were found Christmas morning cut down and lying throughout the park and on the bike path.

The trees were planted within the past few months and police believe the vandalism happened Christmas Eve or Christmas morning.
