DENVER — There will once again be two fireworks displays in downtown Denver this New Year’s Eve — for those willing to brave the cold temps to see them.

The 13th Annual New Year’s Even Fireworks Downtown is presented by the Downtown Denver Partnership and co-sponsored by VISIT DENVER and the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District.

Fireworks will be launched from two locations along the 16th Street Mall at 9 p.m. and midnight.

Each show will run about 8 minutes and include a 40-second grand finale, said spokeswoman Cristina Ceballo.

“There will be 10 musical selections paired with the production and nearly 75 sensory color changes and visual looks,” Ceballo said. “Each song is introduced with an abrupt and dramatically stunning color effect.”

Wednesday’s high will be 16 with a forecast low into Thursday morning of 11.

Many restaurants will be open on New Year’s Even. Check out a list of options at Denver.org.
